The Teenternational housemates bagged last week’s “Teenterpretation” task and the first slot in the Teen Big Night, which had the Apartment teens jumping for joy. “The Philippines chose us,” Bret said. “It’s so overwhelming!” On the other hand, it was a sad group from the Villa that faced Kuya. Losing to others in one’s supposed turf wasn’t an easy thing to accept, after all.
This week, Kuya called on Tricia, Kazel, Ann and April to be their respective teams’ leaders. Another task of endurance and skill, the housemates will have a hula hoop contest. They had to twirl the hoop several times and pass it on to the next. Since the Pinoy housemates had one housemate more than the other team. The Teenternational teens were given the chance to pick who among their opposing team had to sit the game out. Tricia, their choice, felt bad about being chosen since she was quite adept at the game, but recovered and asked Kuya if she still was allowed to coach the others. With another slot to the Teen Big Night on the line, these games made them one step closer – or farther – from the big prize. One slot already belonged to the Teenternational teens, but who among the teens would actually get to stay to see it through?
Along with the announcement of the last week’s winners was the revelation of the week’s list of nominees. Tricia, Yong, Yen, Angelo and Jovic were all included in the list. Tricia was no stranger to being nominated, this being her third of four already. Numb as she tries to be, she still had trouble accepting the fact that her housemates have yet to acknowledge her efforts in being a better person. Yong and Yen were also no newbies, and though they both still felt the strain, they were able to take it in stride. Jovic took the news the hardest, this being his first nomination. Angelo and Tricia tried to offer words of advice: “Cheer up,” said Angelo. “Mahirap ang buhay; kailangan maging matatag.” Tricia, too, tried to boost his spirits. “Ipakita nalang natin na deserving tayo.”
What was the fourth nomination night of the season was actually the first for the Teenternational housemates, and their reactions were as expected. April, usually the fierce one, couldn’t help but shed tears. She apologized for being bossy and wondered how to change that perception. Ann, too, did not expect her nomination but realized that she may have over-acted in her excitement. Carson was the one hardest hit, and he couldn’t rein in his hurt towards his housemates. “I work too hard,” he ranted. “I;m shocked. I’m trying to do my part and I thought you guys appreciated what I did.” The others tried to calm him down and reminded him that it was, after all, a game. “Nomination is nomination; task is task,” as Ryan put it. No matter what they said, Carson still felt that people were being superficial and had difficulty believing otherwise.
How will things progress when ill feelings keep cropping up? Two from the Villa and one from the Apartment team will exist Kuya’s house next eviction night, but who?
